For the second home game of the current European League of Football season, the Vienna Vikings expect 'royal' visitors. The Leipzig Kings will make the journey to the champions in Vienna. The venue for the game is - for the first time for the franchise - the Hohe Warte in Vienna Döbling, kickoff is at 6 pm. Already at 2 p.m. the Purple Pre-Game Area opens its doors for the visitors: Fun, action, drinks and live music are among the things on the (stage) program this time with host Walter Reiterer.

A day of records lies behind the Vienna Vikings. In front of a record crowd of 6,854 spectators, HC Chris Calaycay's team beat the team from the Golden City 69-21, which also marked a new franchise points record. Apart from the champion from Vienna, the gold of the musical instruments of the Guards of the Austrian Armed Forces also shone on the field. For the Touchdown Celebration, the two Moto X Riders, Jerry and Matej, had to start their bikes more often than planned and whirl spectacularly through the air. The Vikings found their way into the end zone ten times.

"It was a day of superlatives for football - for us as a franchise, for Vienna, for the whole of Austria," Head Coach Calaycay was still pleased about the brilliant atmosphere in the Generali Arena days later. "We showed great Vikings football and provided terrific entertainment off-the-field. On Saturday, against Leipzig, we want to offer the fans the best entertainment on the Hohe Warte as well."
The pre-game area on the Hohe Warte opens its doors at 2 p.m., and at 3 p.m. the stage program with host Walter Reiterer will start. In addition to interviews and a raffle, visitors can look forward to a live performance by the band Anrainer.

Royal visit from Leipzig

With the Leipzig Kings a direct conference opponent comes to Vienna. The German franchise, which has already played three games this year, comes to the Danube metropolis with a 2-1 record - in their ranks the current tackle leader of the league, AJ Wentland. "We will prepare meticulously for the Kings. They have already beaten the Enthroners and Lions, only against the Wroclaw Panthers there was a defeat for the Leipzigers. They will certainly not make it easy for us on Saturday," said Calaycay.
In terms of personnel, Coach Calaycay can almost draw from a full complement on Saturday in the duel between Vienna and Leipzig. American defensive end Jamarcus Henderson could already be ready for action. Cornerback Leo Gerner will also slip into Vikings Jersey for the first time this year on Saturday. "We're not going to rush anything and watch how they do in practice this week. It's looking good, though, and I'm confident we'll see both of them in action soon," said Calaycay, who is eagerly anticipating the game at Hohe Warte.
"I associate great, personal moments with the Hohe Warte. The players and coaches are fired up to play in this historic natural arena on Saturday."
