Below, Vienna Vikings Head Coach Jordan Neuman shares his thoughts on these developments, what they mean for the AFLE, and the future of American Football in Europe:

„I have a great deal of respect for Coach Shoop and the entire Nordic Storm organization for their great success and what they have built over the last years. This is the type of news all of Europe has been waiting for and its very exciting not only for the teams themselves but for fans of American Football in Europe as well. With Nordic joining, adding the Italian and Polish Champions, and getting such a talent rich area like Hamburg to join, The AFLE has shown a very clear commitment to improving the competition level in our league.

In my opinion The AFLE is leaning on its Football experienced people to make football decisions that are best for the on field product and I expect this to continue throughout the offseason with other AFLE teams as well. It’s really an exciting day because after a tough 12 months for European Football, news like this is what we have all been waiting for, to unite as many top European teams under one roof as possible. The entire Vikings organization welcomes Nordic, Italy, Warsaw, and Hamburg to the AFLE and we look forward to a very competitive 2027!“
